Twitter is outraged about Wasim Akram reprimand of Babar Azam.
Wasim Akram, a former Pakistani cricketer and president of the Karachi Kings, became a Twitter trending topic Thursday when a video of the bowling icon seemeding to come down hard on Kings captain Babar Azam during Wednesday night’s match went viral.
In the video from Wednesday’s Karachi vs. Multan Sultans match, Wasim is seen “reprimanding” Babar on the boundary line as pressure grows on the team for failing to protect the goal.
The video got a lot of attention on social media, with a lot of people praising Babar and criticising Wasim for his “bad” choice of players for the team.
Despite the Kings’ dismal campaign during PSL 2022, Pakistani cricket supporters were outraged at their favourite skipper being “handled unfairly” despite the fact that the Kings’ success was not entirely dependent on him.
The Tweeps replied as follows:
Wasim Akram ain’t happy with Babar and Jordan. Dude it’s your fault mainly for selecting such a shit team.

After loosing 8 consecutive games, a normal man can be aggressive but, Wasim Akram is a experienced athlete, he did very unprofessional act. Babar Azam did not selected the team, and nor he was the only man who gave over to Chris Jordan.#MsVsKk #PSL7 pic.twitter.com/tthUPMrVZ2

Mr. Wasim Akram you have no right to scold World No. 1 T20 batsman.
Cricket is all about Team effort/ team combination and you gave him pathetic team. #BabarAzam #PSL7 pic.twitter.com/YQkDhMsD4L— Shaziyaa (@ShaziyaaMehmood) February 17, 2022
Karachi Kings scored 174 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets, with all-rounder Imad Wasim hitting 32 runs off only 16 balls.
On the other hand, the Sultans, on the other hand, defeated Karachi Kings by seven wickets, courtesy of Mohammad Rizwan’s brilliant 74-run knock in the PSL’s 23rd match.
