Twitter will get rid of Elon Musk before the trial for the buyout deal.

Twitter stands by its assessment regarding user numbers

SAN FRANCISCO, (AFP) – Elon Musk’s lawyers will be questioning him next week as they collect evidence in a legal battle against him to get his $44 billion buyout agreement. A Tuesday court filing stated that.

According to the filing, Tesla’s chief executive officer will be under oath for two days, possibly even three, in sessions that will be recorded using “stenographic, audio and visual means.”

Musk’s private deposition will be held in law offices. It is part of evidence gathering before a five-day trial that begins October 17 at the Court of Chancery in Delaware.

Musk’s lawyers were going to depose Jack Dorsey Tuesday, a Twitter co-founder and former chief.

Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, stated in an April letter that he was cancelling the deal due to misinformation from Twitter about the number of bot accounts it hosted. These claims were rejected by the company.

Later, he added to the reasons he walked away from the deal allegations made in a whistleblower report by a former head at security at Twitter.

Twitter has not changed its assessment of user number and has portrayed whistleblower, who is a disgruntled ex-employee, as untrue.
