Toshiba’s largest shareholder intends to sell a stake to Bain Capital,filing

 (Reuters) –Toshiba (OTC: TOSYY) Corp’s largest shareholder, Effissimo Capital Management, indicated in a regulatory statement that it would sell all of its shares if private equity company Bain Capital launched a takeover attempt.

One of the people working for Singapore-based Effissimo, which owns about 9.9 percent of Toshiba, said that the fund plans to show how much it owns when it’s the right time.

Bain was not available for comment right away. Toshiba’s spokeswoman didn’t want to say anything right away.

According to Reuters, Bain was considering a proposal to take Toshiba private last year, making it one of many corporations thought to be interested in such a transaction.
