LAHore: Following the end of a recent order to reduce Eidul Fitr closure restrictions and quick access to coronavirus cases at hospitals across the state, the government has also decided to reduce business hours, the Express Tribune said on Wednesday.
A district administration official says that since the Eid holidays are complete, the government has also decided to reduce business hours to 9am to 5pm. He also pointed out that both retailers and people are showing a sense of responsibility and in violation of the SOPs that are set to distribute to the public during shopping and Eid holidays.
He also revealed that following the end of the rest order, business hours have already been reduced in Punjab.
However, a new order for revised business hours is expected on Thursday (today).
Since all public offices were closed due to the Eid holidays, there was confusion among traders and shopkeepers for a reasonable period of time. Most traders said the government had allowed businesses to operate from 9am to 7pm. In many parts of the provincial capital, retailers keep their businesses open until 7pm or later.
