Three students were given bail after their detention for celebrating Pakistan’s victory.

Three students were given bail by an Indian court after being detained for celebrating Pakistan’s 10-wicket win over India in the ICC T20 World Cup.

The students detained last October were from Uttar Pradesh, a northern state. Their attorney, however, disclosed the most recent development in the case.

Rasheed Yusuf, Inayat Altaf Sheikh, and Showkat Ahmed Ganai were three students from an engineering institution. According to local media, they were detained for posting and shouting anti-India propaganda.

Three of the pupils are from Indian-occupied Kashmir.

After Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, said that anyone who celebrated Pakistan’s victory would be arrested and charged with sedition, the order was made.

People in Pakistan are said to have been celebrating their country’s victory, which led to several police investigations.
