Rafael Nadal feels the ban on players from Russia and Belarus is unjust.

Rafael Nadal, the Spanish tennis legend, thinks the authorities’ decision to exclude Russian and Belarusian players from playing at this year’s Wimbledon is “very unjust” in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Belarus.

Daniil Medvedev, Aryna Sabalenka, Anastasia Pavyluchenkova, and Victoria Azarenka will be unable to participate as a consequence of this decision.

According to BBC Sport, Nadal, the 2022 Australian Open champion, has questioned the decision, stating it is not the players’ responsibility.

“I believe that is really unjust to my Russian tennis teammates, my colleagues. It is not their fault that the battle is taking place at the time,” Nadal said.

“Whatever happens in our game is irrelevant when we witness so many people dying and suffering in Ukraine,” he continued.
