PSX dropped 305 points to close at 43,032.57. 

During the day, a total of 208,115,224 shares were exchanged.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) KSE 100-index fell 305.40 points on Thursday, with a negative change of 0.70 percent, closing at 43,032.57 points, down from 43,337.97 points the previous working day.

A total of 208,115,224 shares were exchanged throughout the day, compared to 256,479,127 shares moved the previous day, with the price of shares standing at Rs.7.783 billion, compared to Rs.8.747 billion on the previous trading day.

In all, 343 firms traded shares on the stock market, with 110 gaining and 209 losing, while the share prices of 24 companies remained steady.

WorldCall Telecom had a volume of 18,598,000 shares with a price per share of Rs.1.32. Hascol Petrol had a volume of 10,506,500 and a price per share of Rs.6.74 and PIAC(A) had a volume of 9,304,500 and a price per share of Rs.4.97.

Sanofi-Aventis saw the greatest rise of Rs.79.70 per share, finishing at Rs.1,349.70, while Reliance Cotton’s share price increased by Rs.37.05 to Rs.531.

Sapphire Tex saw the greatest drop of Rs.64.33 per share, finishing at Rs.1,057, followed by Colgate Palm, whose share price fell by Rs.24.97 to settle at Rs.2,375.
