In June, Queen Elizabeth will mark her Platinum Jubilee.

On February 6, Britain will commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, making her the first British monarch to reach the age of 70.

The Queen’s birthday, June, is also the month of the Platinum Jubilee celebration.
Her Majesty did, however, take a moment to review a number of cards and letters sent to her by family members to commemorate this and previous jubilees.
The Queen was dressed in a blue gown with brooches given to her by her parents for her 18th birthday.

It’s been seven decades since she ascended to the throne after King George VI died. She was 25 years old and married to Prince Philip when she took over after her father died.
The Queen’s birthday parade, a party at the Palace, a service of thanksgiving for the Queen’s reign, Big Jubilee Lunches, and a display of the Queen’s Coronation dress and robes will kick off the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June over a four-day long weekend.
Britain previously celebrated her Silver Jubilee in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee in 2002.
