Alstom’s third-quarter sales go up because of more orders from Europe.

Alstom (EPA:ALSO), a French company that makes trains, reported on Wednesday that its quarterly sales went up by 8%. This was due to strong orders in Europe.

In its third fiscal quarter, which ran from October to December, the company made 4.22 billion euros ($4.60 billion), compared to 3.92 billion euros during the same time last year.
