According to Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, the government will review the 4,863 names on the exit control list (ECL).
He told a press conference on Friday that the government would be able to place any name on the ECL for four months under the new law. “Those involved in terrorism will receive no assistance,” he added.
According to the minister, people whose names have been added to the ECL by a judge will not be able to benefit from the law.
He stated that while differences exist, the government will provide PM Imran Khan with foolproof security. “The NSC meeting also discussed and debated the previous meeting’s minutes,” he declared.
