Chahal has acquired in the IPL 2022 super auction for INR 6.5 crores and is a match-winner on his own with the ball. Chahal has been a stalwart of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for an extended period of time. However, cricket fans and analysts were taken aback to see the red army not even bid for him at the auction.
The 31-year-old has also been pretty frugal with his shots and provides plenty of air for the ball. In terms of IPL statistics, the leg-spinner has appeared in 114 matches and taken 139 wickets. Chahal has a 7.59 economy rate and will be an important contributor to his organization next season.
