With the sale of 1.72 million H shares, Berkshire reduces its stake in China’s BYD.
Shanghai: According to a filing on Friday, Warren Buffett’s investment company, Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKa), has sold 1.72 million Hong Kong-listed shares of electric vehicle maker BYD for HK$450.83 million ($57 million).
As of Thursday, the filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange showed that the sale of H shares brought Berkshire’s share of all H shares issued by BYD down to 18.87%.

A filing made on Tuesday showed that the U.S. company had cut the number of shares it owned from 20.49% to 19.92%.
