The SAS and pilot unions will begin negotiations on Wednesday, the union reports.
Stockholm (Reuters) – A Norwegian pilots union says that the Scandinavian airline SAS and the unions that represent the pilots on strike have agreed to start talking on Wednesday.
The airline has had to cancel hundreds of flights since July 4, when talks with pilots about a new collective bargaining agreement broke down and pilots went on strike.
Keld Baekkelund Hansen, a Danish mediator, and a SAS representative were not able to confirm the Wednesday meeting plan right away.
Swedish mediators and the Swedish pilots’ union were unavailable for comment immediately.
Earlier on Tuesday, Danish TV2 said that negotiations would start up again on Wednesday, citing a Swedish mediator.
