US Business Lobby Urges China to Establish Transparent Regulations for Due Diligence Sector Amid Investigations

The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai has expressed its concerns about reports of investigations into US-based consulting and due diligence firms in China. The business lobby urged Chinese authorities to provide more guidance and clarity for the sector.

Eric Zheng, the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, stated that they are worried about the investigations and that it would be helpful if the authorities could delineate the areas in which companies can or cannot conduct due diligence more clearly.

The lobby emphasized the need for China to establish precise regulations for the due diligence sector, especially in light of ongoing investigations.
