PSL 2022: Haris Rauf and Kamran Ghulam joke after’slap’ row

Following a media frenzy over Kamran Ghulam of the Lahore Qalandars getting smacked by his teammate, Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf, the two were seen engaged in some sweet banter at Gaddafi Stadium following the conclusion of the match.

On Tuesday morning, the Qalandars showed a video of the two players talking in a happy way, which meant that “Haris’ behaviour was not antagonistic,” as they said.

The video starts with Haris hugging Ghulam, who then says that he beats the speedster at foosball, which is called “Patti.” They had been playing in the bio-secure bubble while not wearing the Qalandars shirt.

He asserts that Haris has not defeated him even once throughout the game. Haris, on the other hand, refutes Ghulam’s assertion, claiming that he has won once.

Haris later posted images from their conversation on his Instagram account.

How did Haris Rauf and Kamran Ghulam meet?

Ghulam lost the wicket of Peshawar Zalmi batsman Hazratullah Zazai to Haris in Haris‘ over. Then, off the bowling of Fawad Ahmed, he took the wicket of Mohammad Haris (6).

Rauf smacked Ghulam, who seemed astonished, as the squad gathered to celebrate the catch.

Later, in the 17th over, Ghulam dismissed Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz (1). Rauf approached and embraced him at this point.

Cricket fans, on the other hand, chastised Haris on Monday for the smack.

Haris Rauf is issued a reprimand for hitting Kamran Ghulam.

Sources told Geo News that referee Ali Naqvi called Rauf after the match and told him to be careful in the future.

According to sources, the referee warned Rauf that on-field joking may harm the game’s reputation.

Additionally, they said that the on-field umpires did not submit a complaint to the match referee in this case since it involved two players from the same team and so was not deemed significant.
