Today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) (Friday). At 2 p.m., the session will begin in the Prime Minister’s Office.

Federal ministers and three service chiefs are expected to attend the meeting to discuss the country’s security situation, as well as the threat letter issue.

Officials will learn about the contentious letter and cypher from a delegation from the foreign ministry. Sohail Mahmood will be in charge of this delegation.

Additionally, sources indicated that an ISI delegation is expected to attend the session.

PM Shehbaz went to North Waziristan on Thursday to see how the country’s security was doing.

He was greeted by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and briefed in detail on terrorist activity across the border.
