ISLAMABAD, Pakistan –Arif Alvi, the President, has written to the leader of the opposition in the outgoing National Assembly, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. He says that consultations should be held to choose a caretaker Prime Minister.
Gulzar Ahmed, a former judge, has been recommended by President Imran Khan to be interim Prime Minister, the President said.
As a group, the Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition will choose the caretaker Prime Minister, which will be chosen by the President.
