The value of the local currency went up by Rs1.96.
Karachi: On Monday, the first working day of the week, the Pakistani currency made a new recovery against the US dollar on the inter-bank market. This meant that the currency was still getting better.
Details show that the local currency gained Rs1.96 against the US dollar and ended the day at Rs217.96. Pakistan’s central bank said that the rupee ended the day on Friday at Rs219.92.
From its all-time high of Rs 239.94, the rupee has gone up in value by a total of Rs 21.98.

The bull has also returned to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), with the benchmark KSE-100 index gaining over 300 points during intraday trading.
