The Pakistani envoy to the US gives the opposition a video briefing on the threat letter.
After a three-hour break, the National Assembly met again under the chairmanship of Amjad Ali Khan. Then Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi took the stage again.
He kept going and suggested that the House get an in-camera briefing from Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States (US) about an international conspiracy to overthrow Pakistan’s government.
The minister said that before the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, he planned to go to Moscow.
President Vladimir Putin asked Imran Khan to come, he said. “The US National Security Advisor told Pakistan not to go, and he told them to stay away.”
Shah Mahmood said that Pakistan was never in favour of the war in Ukraine, and the Prime Minister said many times that talks between the two countries are very important, as well.
The minister said that Pakistan is a sovereign country, and the opposition wants to make the country a slave state, which is not good for Pakistan.
While talking about the threat letter, he said that the PTI government was not making up the document. He asked the House to let the envoy in Washington talk to the members of the House about the threat letter.
Later, the Opposition Leader, Shehbaz Sharif, gave a speech about how grateful he was to both the Supreme Court and the deputy speaker for their decisions.
