The foreign minister says that Samsung will put $500 million into Mexico.

(Reuters) – The Mexican foreign minister, Marcelo Ebrard, said on Monday that Samsung Electronics will put $500 million into the country to make more home appliances there.

Ebrard stated on Twitter that the investment will be made in the northern border city of Tijuana and the central Mexican city of Queretaro. He said that he had met with Han Jong-Hee, the CEO of the company.
