The casino declares its intent to sell a renewable energy unit.

Paris (Reuters) – French retailer Casino said in a statement that it has initiated a process to sell its renewable energy company GreenYellow, with a possible transaction by year’s end.
Les Echos, a French financial newspaper, said on Friday that TotalEnergies and Engie are interested in acquiring GreenYellow, which is valued at around €1.5 billion ($1.6 billion).
Casino, whose comment was sent in reaction to news reports of market rumors, said that it had not yet received a binding bid for this property and that no final decision had been taken.
