Stakeholders oppose SNGPL’s demand for 123pc hike in gas rate
ISLAMABAD: Despite confronting gas deficiencies, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) on Thursday requested 123 percent expansion in its gas rate, 100pc expansion in meter lease and 700,000 new homegrown associations, which was emphatically contradicted by the partners including material industry and transport area.
At a formal proceeding managed by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) Acting Chairman Noorul Haque, the partners fought that there was no avocation for network development when the gas utility couldn’t meet the prerequisites of existing buyers.
They battled that such a solicitation was being pushed in light of the fact that the organization’s plan of action was impulsively founded on 17.43pc ensured return on resources and the expense of framework development for future purchasers was incorporated into the gas cost of existing customers who continue confronting gas deficiencies and low weight.
