Shahid Afridi lauds Gladiators’ hitter Jason Roy for his outstanding performance. Jason Roy guided the Quetta Gladiators to a 7-wicket victory over the Lahore Qalandars on Monday at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Roy hammered 19 boundaries – including 11 fours and eight sixes – in a spectacular performance in which he scored 116 runs off only 57 balls.
Not only did the Gladiators’ hitter trend on social media, but he was also hailed by fans, previous players, and cricket experts.
“I’ve watched some incredible innings in the PSL over the years, but nothing compares to what @JasonRoy20 achieved for us today!” Shahid Afridi, a renowned all-rounder, posted on Twitter.

He referred to Roy’s innings as “a genuinely magnificent innings.”
The winning captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, commended Jason Roy’s outstanding performance and remarked that the Lahore-leg matches will be essential for all sides.
For his outstanding performance, Roy was named Man of the Match.
