Saudi Arabia’s government permits one million pilgrims to do Hajj.

RIYADH :- Saudi Arabia’s government has permitted one million pilgrims to conduct Hajj this year.

According to a news statement, pilgrims’ ages should not exceed 65. Pilgrims should have been inoculated with the Saudi government-approved immunisation. They are required to provide their immunisation proof upon entry to Saudi Arabia. Their polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and COVID-19 tests should be negative. “It is critical for pilgrims to undertake PCR and COVID-19 tests within 72 hours of their arrival in Saudi Arabia,” the statement said.

For the previous two years, Saudi Arabia has experienced a reduced number of pilgrims because of COVID-19. In 2021, only 60,000 people will do Hajj. Prior to the implementation of COVID-19, two million people performed Hajj.
