PSL 7: Babar Azam speaks out after the Lahore Qalandars’ win.

In the wake of a bumpy and inconsistent performance in the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) seventh edition, the Pakistan Cricket Team and Karachi Kings captain, Babar Azam, in an effort to keep the spirit of cricket alive, congratulated the Lahore Qalandars and squad skipper Shaheen Afridi on winning the PSL champion title on Sunday.

In a post on Twitter, the Karachi Kings captain expressed his delight at the “wonderful” performances of both teams, the Lahore Qalandars and the Multan Sultans, as well as the “remarkable” performance of Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Both teams put on outstanding exhibitions of performance. Shaheen Shah Afridi has achieved a remarkable achievement. When asked about Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan’s losing in the PSL final, Pakistan’s best batter expressed his sorrow.

As well as thanking the fans for “making PSL a hit,” the star hitter said,

The Lahore Qalandars’ seven-year trophy drought comes to an end with the PSL championship trophy in their possession.

Sunday was a bad day for Multan Sultans. They lost by 42 runs, allowing Lahore Qalandars to win their first Pakistan Super League (PSL) championship in history.

In spite of the fact that Lahore had set Multan a lofty 181-run goal for them, they would still have to perform at their peak both in terms of batting and bowling.
