Pak vs Aus: Shadab’s selection in the series opener is in question.

ISLAMABAD: Shadab Khan’s selection as the opener in forthcoming Pakistan against Australia One-Day International series is in question due to his injury problems. According to the news, he isn’t likely to play in the first two games.

According to people who know what they’re talking about, the cricketer’s gastro issue hasn’t gone away and is still haunting him.

“He is not at ease with his ailment and is expected to miss the March 29 series opener against Australia,” sources added.

However, physicians have not yet declared him unfit.

There are also reports from inside the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that a final decision on his selection will be made a day before the start of the match.

Shadab’s injury has been a source of concern for the government, particularly in light of the country’s upcoming overseas commitments. The West Indies are scheduled to arrive in a few months. Shadab’s fitness is regarded as critical if Pakistan is to compete in the T20 Asia Cup and then the World Cup.

Australia’s cricket squad lands in Pakistan for a T20 and one-day international series.

The series will begin on March 29 with three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and a one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Meanwhile, Aaron Finch, Sean Abbott, Jason Behrendorff, Nathan Ellis, Ben McDermott, Ben Dwarshuis, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa will join the rest of the group after the conclusion of the last test.

The group will begin training on Sunday in preparation for Tuesday’s first One-Day International. Between March 29 and April 5, Lahore will host four white-ball matches.
