Pakistan, Denmark agree on framework agreement for debt

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Denmark have agreed to hold an important meeting next week to prepare a draft framework agreement. Under the said agreement, Denmark will provide interest-free loans to Pakistan at a discount of 35% for a period of 15 years.

Danish Ambassador to Pakistan Lise Rosenholm met Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq yesterday. Ayaz Sadiq warmly welcomed the Danish Ambassador to Pakistan.

Ambassador Lise Rosenholm met at the Ministry of Economic Affairs to discuss the intergovernmental framework agreement between the Government of Denmark and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Apart from this, Minister of Economic Affairs Ayaz Sadiq appreciated the efforts and cooperation of the Asian Development Bank in energy, transport, agriculture and natural resources, financial policy making, and other sectors and said that the Asian Development Bank has value-added and strong cold chain in agricultural commodities. Provide support to Pakistan in other sectors like industry.
