NEWSPAPER READERSHIP DAY COMMEMORATED BY PM IMRNA KHAN

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have complimented the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) for observing Friday (today) as the National Newspaper Readership Day, hence embracing the activity which will help advance perusing propensities in the public eye.

In his message, Dr Alvi featured the significance of the move and stated: “In spite of the development of electronic and advanced media, papers actually assume a noteworthy function in making mindfulness and teaching the individuals about different financial and social issues.”

He said the papers should counter phony news. “Right now, the world is confronting the test of phony news and papers need to demoralize this pattern by advancing capable, unprejudiced, honest and real news coverage,” he said.
