Nepra issues show cause notice to KE
ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) gave a show cause notice to K-Electric on Tuesday over unnecessary loadshedding and started the procedure for comparable procedures against two other dissemination organizations of the central government working in Sindh.
The Karachi-based force utility was given the show cause notice following a day-long formal conference a couple of days back, trailed by a field visit by an examination group of Nepra to Karachi. The controller said in an announcement the examination board of trustees comprised to investigate the over the top loadshedding in Karachi had presented its report.
“In the light of discoveries of the examination board of trustees, the Authority has chosen to continue further and issue a show cause notice to K-Electric,” the controller said in its concise proclamation.
An authority said the show cause was required under areas 28 and 29 of the Nepra Act and permitting rules for neglecting to guarantee continuous force gracefully to customers and keep up administration quality
