Kanye’s Twitter account was taken away again for breaking the rules.

Kanye West’s Twitter account was taken away again on Friday, just two months after it was given back to the rapper, because his tweets broke Twitter’s rules.

Elon Musk, who owns Twitter and calls himself a “free speech absolutist,” was happy when the rapper, now known as Ye, came back to the site in October.

Musk said late Thursday night in his most recent tweet: “I did what I could.” Even so, he broke our rule against encouraging violence again. “The account will be closed.”

Late on Thursday, Twitter also blocked one of Ye’s tweets. Musk’s Twitter account was shut down an hour after he replied to a user who said, “Elon, please fix Kanye.”

When asked for a comment, Twitter didn’t answer right away.

Before Musk finished spending $44 billion to buy Twitter, Twitter had already fixed the rapper’s account. But he later made it clear that he had nothing to do with Ye coming back to Twitter.
