Intel is the latest Western technology company to halt operations in Russia.

NEW YORK- Intuit Corp of the United States said that it has ceased commercial activities in Russia, joining a spate of other corporations that have left the nation in the aftermath of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The company says it has taken steps to keep its business running around the world after it stopped shipping to customers in Russia and Belarus last month.on

“Intel continues to stand with the international community in denouncing Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and urging a speedy return to peace,” the firm said.

After Ukraine asked U.S. cloud computing and software companies to cut ties with Russia, International Business Machines Corp. also stopped shipping.

IBM, Dell Technologies Inc, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. dominate the server market in Russia, where businesses and government agencies have depended on Western-developed technology to power their own-and-operated information technology systems.
