Exchanging cryptocurrencies The victims of a phishing scam that allowed hackers to make unauthorised trades on the accounts of some FTX users will get almost $6 million in compensation from FTX.
In a Twitter thread on October 23, Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder and CEO of FTX, stated that although the exchange typically doesn’t reimburse users who have been “phished by phoney versions of other companies in the market,” it will do so in this particular instance.
