ISLAMABAD – Afghan Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi arrived in China on Tuesday to attend the third meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan’s neighbouring nations.
During his three-day tour, the Foreign Minister will attend the neighbouring nations’ ministerial meetings and speak with peers from participating countries.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi will meet with Wang Yi, China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister, as well as his Russian and Iranian colleagues.
As previously stated, Pakistan began the format with neighbouring nations in September last year with the goal of developing a regional response to the Afghan problem.
Pakistan will host the first summit of neighbouring nations’ Foreign Ministers on September 8, 2021.
