An event celebrating relations between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea was organized in Seoul in line with the social distancing guidelines in vogue in the Republic of Korea.
A large number of friends of Pakistan including in the diplomatic community attended the event. President of the Jogye order of Korean Buddhism, Most Venerable Wonhaeng, Member National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, Ms. Jung Choun-sook, and Special Representative on Afghanistan and Pakistan Mr. Lee Kyung-Chul attended the event as guests of honour. Participating dignitaries included Korean Government officials, former Korean ambassadors to Pakistan, entrepreneurs, media organizations, academia and think tank experts.
At the event, Ambassador conferred Sitara-i-Pakistan (Star of Pakistan) on the Most Venerable Wonhaeng on behalf of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in recognition of his meritorious contributions in promoting friendly ties between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea.
