SINGAPORE, April 16 (Reuters) -A memo seen by Reuters says that Credit Suisse Singapore’s chief executive officer, Chien Chien Wong, is leaving to pursue other interests. This is the latest high-level banker to leave the Swiss bank.
The memo says that Rehan Anwer will be named the bank’s chief executive in Singapore. This is on top of his current jobs as CEO of Southeast Asia and head of investment banking and capital markets in Southeast Asia.
A bank spokesman confirmed what was written in the memo.
In the last few months, a lot of people have left Credit Suisse around the world. As part of a plan to change the company, Credit Suisse is cutting thousands of jobs and shifting its focus from risky investment banking to more stable wealth management.
