Big cricketers who say goodbye to cricket will once again be seen in action
Retired cricketers from other countries including Pakistan are ready to return to the world of cricket with ‘Legends League Cricket’.
Retired cricketers from around the world, including Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, will be seen in action in the Legends League Cricket. The Professional T20 League for Retired Cricketers will start on January 22 in Oman.
The league has also included Pakistan’s legendary cricketers in the squad for the Asian team, including Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar and Younis Khan among others.
According to Legends League Cricket CEO Raman Rahija, the Asian team has been named Asia Lions mainly due to the inclusion of several legends in the team, including former speed star Shoaib Akhtar and former Sri Lanka captain Jayasuriya.
He said that other Pakistani players in the Asia Lions squad include Azhar Mahmood, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousuf, Umar Gul and Younis Khan.
The team includes six Sri Lankan players Jayasuriya, Murali Dharan, Chaminda Vass, Romesh Kalovithrana, Dilshan and Apple Tharanga, while former Afghanistan cricketer Asghar Afghan will also be part of the Asia Lions squad.
