Akon is accused of owing a former business partner $4 million.

Akon’s former business partner alleges the musician owes him $4 million from a previous settlement agreement.
According to recent court records, Devyne Stephens, a music executive who has worked with Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, Usher, Pink, and TLC, still owes the R&B singer almost $4 million.
In an additional case filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Stephens claimed that the Don’t Matter singer owed him $750,000 in royalties and at least $3 million in royalties.
According to the amended complaint, the 48-year-old singer promised to pay Stephens $3.25 million over four years as part of the 2018 agreement, but he has yet to pay the last instalment of $750,000.
Stephens has had to take the Right Now singer to court three times since their business split.
Akon has yet to make a comment on the incident.
