After the shareholders’ vote, Toshiba director Watahiki offers to step down. TV Tokyo

Tokyo (Reuters) – Mariko Watahiki, an external director of Toshiba (OTC: TOSYY) Corp, resigned after a shareholder vote on Tuesday approved all proposed directors, including two she had opposed.

Watahiki, a former high court judge, said that putting the candidates put forward by Elliott Management and Farallon Capital Management on the board would tilt it toward activist investors.
