According to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the private sector should fund young entrepreneurs.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on Wednesday that private-sector lenders should fund businesses founded by the country’s young.
Speaking at the National Small and Medium Enterprises Policy 2021, he stated that the state should play a role in assisting young people to maximise the benefits of Pakistan’s second youngest population.
“Small loans and land leases are being granted to young businesses,“ the premier said. “Another major concern in the country is red tape.” Our poor choices have brought us to our knees. Our administration has resolved to take action against ministries that are impeding exports and company growth. “
Malaysia and Singapore have surpassed us in terms of exports, he claims.
“We are focused on SMEs in order to create more wealth.” Regulations have become a stumbling obstacle for youthful business ideas. “When our foreign Pakistanis invest in Pakistan, they return with losses,” he complained.
PM Imran stated that the SME strategy will benefit the whole country, and that no administration has encountered such problems as Pakistan’s. “We founded the country when it was on the point of bankruptcy, then COVID-19 arrived, and we saved the country,” he explained.
The premier stated that the government will not stop the economy but will implement rigorous SOPs in view of the recent outbreak of the coronavirus.
PM Imran has stated that his administration will meet the record Rs. 8 billion tax revenue target.
