The Registration Authority of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has unveiled a comprehensive set of regulations designed to oversee Web3 organizations. This regulatory framework, unique in its design, has been purpose-built to cater to the needs of the international financial free zone.
Known as the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) Foundations Regulations, these rules are tailored to govern the activities of blockchain foundations, Web3 entities, decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), and conventional foundations looking to expand into the realm of DLT. Blockchain foundations offer financial and various forms of support for blockchain technologies without direct involvement in their operation.
