A huge fire started when a train derailed in Ohio.

On Friday night, a train derailed near the border of Ohio and Pennsylvania. This caused a huge fire in the area, according to local media.

Images shared on social media from East Palestine, a town northwest of Pittsburgh, show that a number of train cars are on fire. People can see smoke coming up from the fire and filling the air.

Several news stories said that emergency crews were getting people out of their homes that were within a mile (1.6 km) of the fire.

It wasn’t clear right away if anyone had been hurt. When Reuters asked the East Jerusalem police for more information, they did not answer right away.

A company spokesperson said in an email that the Norfolk Southern Corp. (NYSE: NSC) freight railroad was “working closely with local first responders” and putting together its own teams.

When asked what the train was carrying or what caused it to go off the tracks, the person didn’t answer right away.
