Ukraine has filled out the questionnaire for EU membership.

BRUSSELS: Ukraine has filled out a questionnaire that will help the European Union decide whether or not to let Kyiv join. Ihor Zhovkva, the deputy head of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, said.
Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, gave the questionnaire to Zelensky during her visit to Kyiv on April 8. She promised that Ukraine would be able to join the EU more quickly after Russia invaded the country.
When Zhovkva spoke to Ukraine’s public broadcaster on Sunday evening, he said that the document had been completed by Ukraine.
The European Commission will have to make a decision about whether Ukraine meets the rules for joining the EU, he said.
Afterward, “the ball will be in the EU member states’ court.”
Zhovkva said that Ukraine hopes to become a candidate country for EU membership in June at a meeting of the European Council, which is set to happen.
This is what the European Council’s schedule looks like on its website. It meets on June 23–24.
There will be a lot of talk about joining the group next. Then, when we have those talks, we can talk about Ukraine’s full membership in the EU right away.
