Gazprom, a company in Russia, said it would send 37.8 million cubic metres (mcm) of gas to Europe through Ukraine on Wednesday, which is 10.4% less than the 42.2 mcm it sent on Tuesday.
In the past few months, Gazprom has sent more than 40 mcm of gas through this route every day.
On July 11, it sent out 39.4 mcm, which was the last time it sent out less than 40 mcm.
In 2022, Russia sent 45.5% less gas to countries that used to be part of the USSR.
In 2022, Russia’s pipeline gas exports to Europe dropped to a post-Soviet low. This was because Russia’s biggest customer cut imports because of the conflict in Ukraine, and a major pipeline was damaged by mysterious blasts.
