The Khawaja brothers granted bail in the Paragon Housing case
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday approved the bail application of Pakistan Islamic League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique.
The apex court has ruled that the bail of the Khawaja brothers has been denied two bonds worth Rs million each.
The brothers have been facing corruption allegations filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). On December 11, the NAB arrested the Rafique brothers after the Lahore High Court (LHC) denied their application for extension of their pre-detention bail in a case involving public housing fraud.
Following their arrest, NAB Lahore issued a press briefing saying that “accused Saad Rafique and his wife of Benazidaar, Ghazala Saad Rafique, brother Salman Rafique in association with Qaiser Amin Butt and Nadeem Zia launched a housing project in the name of Air Avenue which was the new Air Avenue project to be converted into a new project.
