Japan’s stock market is up at the end of the day; the Nikkei 225 is up 1.16

After the market closed on Monday, Japanese shares rose as the power, gas, and water, and pharmaceutical industries performed well.
At the end of the day in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 was up 1.16 percent.
Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd. (TYO:3099), which rose 4.70 percent or 56 points to trade at 1,247.00 at the end of the session, did the best on the Nikkei 225. Keisei Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (TYO:9009) gained 3.56% or 135.00 points to end at 3,930.00, and West Japan Railway Co. (TYO:9021) went up 3.37% or 180.00 points to 5,527.00 in late trading.

Chiyoda Corp. (TYO:6366), which fell 2.38 percent or 10 points to close at $410.00, did the worst during the session. JGC Corp. (TYO:1963) fell 1.99%, or 40 points, to end at $1,969.00, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (TYO:7011) fell 1.7%, or 94 points, to $5,210.00.
On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, there were 2,403 stocks that went up, 1,105 that went down, and 289 that stayed the same.
Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd. (TYO:3099) shares went up by 4.70%, or 56.00 yen, to a 3-year high of 1,247.00 yen. Keisei Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (TYO:9009) shares went up by 3.56%, or 135.00, to a 52-week high of 3,930.00.
The implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, which is measured by the Nikkei Volatility, went down by 2.84% to 19.49.
Crude oil for delivery in October fell by 0.14 percent, or $0.12, to $86.67 per barrel. Brent oil for delivery in November went up 0.02%, or $0.02, to $92.86 a barrel, and the December Gold Futures contract went up 0.43%, or $7.35, to $1,735.95 a troy ounce.

EUR/JPY went up 1.80% to 145.65, while USD/JPY went up 0.2% to 142.82.
