On November 4, the US unemployment rate for October will also be made public. If the Fed raises interest rates by 75 basis points, it would be the fourth time in a row that they have gone up by 75 basis points.

During the last FOMC meeting, the Fed said that interest rates would go up by 75 basis points, which 48% of people thought was a full point. Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) just released a report on October 29 that says their economists expect interest rates to go up by 5% by March 2023.

Economists say that there will be a 75-basis-point increase this week, a 50-basis-point increase in December, and a 25-basis-point increase in both February and March. All of these changes will lead to rates going through the roof.
