(New York, NY) —Microsoft has stated that the OneX series of game consoles for the Xbox game console will be discontinued, with the company focusing on other devices in the series.
Candy Walker, senior director of Microsoft Xbox console products, told The Verge that “we have stopped development on the Xbox One system since 2020, and no further consoles will be developed when they are sold.” Work on the Xbox Series X and Xbox S will immediately commence.
“We notified the merchant two years ago that the Xbox One would be discontinued since the firm was working on another model,” Candy explained.
