As Pakistan marks one year to the disavowal of Indian-involved Kashmir’s uncommon status, President Arif Alvi on Wednesday lashed out against New Delhi for its progressing persecution of Kashmiris, saying that “India has figured out how to change the demography from Israel”.

While tending to the participants of a convention, taken out in Islamabad in solidarity with inhabitants of involved Kashmir, the president stated: “India’s high-ups made numerous vows to Kashmiris and Pakistan however none of those guarantees were satisfied.” The president was flanked by Senate Chairperson Sadiq Sanjrani and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi among different representatives and authorities.

“They consented to the Simla Arrangement with us in which it was concluded that [both countries] will hold respective exchange, yet to date, India has would not hold talks. At whatever point the issue was raised on multilateral gatherings, India rationalized saying that it was a reciprocal issue however they are not prepared to talk.”

He said that Pakistan didn’t acknowledge Article 370 — which gave uncommon status to the involved area — initially also on the grounds that “we need the freedom of Kashmir since it isn’t a piece of India”. Narendra Modi’s administration, he bemoaned, canceled the law and changed Article 35(a) a year ago

“On the off chance that, over the previous year, Kashmiris had valued the move [of canceling the district’s uncommon status], India would not need to force a lockdown in [occupied Kashmir],” President Alvi proclaimed.
