Wizz Air reports more bookings and average pricing.
The average fare for 2023, according to the low-cost carrier Wizz Air in Hungary, was higher than it was last year due to increased booking volumes.
The airline reported that in the three months ending in December, passenger numbers climbed by 59% to 12.39 million, and revenue more than doubled to 911.7 million euros ($994.3 million).
According to Chief Executive József Váradi, Wizz Air is still showing signs of strength in its ancillaries and ticket prices.
He stated on Thursday that “as we approach the end of January, we are seeing booking numbers coming in ahead of 2022, which is consistent with projections.”
