Will Shadab Khan play in tomorrow’s PSL 2022 match between United and Zalmi?

Shadab Khan, the captain of Islamabad United, has recovered from his groyne injury and is expected to participate in the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) seventh edition playoff match tomorrow (Thursday).

However, no formal notification about his participation has yet been made.

The all-rounder sat out the squad’s final two matches against Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans, both of which the team lost.

On February 14, the 23-year-old suffered a groyne injury in a game against the Karachi Kings.

During his absence, the team was led by Asif Ali, an aggressive batter.

On February 24, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United, who placed third and fourth in the points standings, will face off in the first round of the competition at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Shadab is feeling better and has returned to training, according to the franchise, which welcomed him. On Twitter, the franchise added, “Extensive effort has been going on behind the scenes on his recovery.”

Meanwhile, owing to a side ailment, Zeehan Zameer will be absent from tomorrow’s “do-or-die” match.

Meanwhile, Colin Munro’s status remains uncertain because he is currently dealing with fitness difficulties.

Hasan Ali and Fahim Ashraf are still healing. Their availability for tomorrow’s play, though, remains uncertain.

If Islamabad loses tomorrow’s match against Zalmi, they will be eliminated from the competition. However, if they overcome Yellow Storm, they will face either Multan Sultans or Lahore Qalandars, the losing team from the qualifier.
